We are very excited to be back at Hilton Head Prep this year serving the students and faculty.
In our continued “green” mentality, the lunch ordering system will change to a paperless all online system. I will roll this program out with high school on Tuesday, August 26 and will go “live” on Thursday, August 28. The middle school will follow on the following Tuesday, September 2 and the lower school will follow on September 15.
You can access the lunch website three different ways. One way is to go to the school website and click on the link where the lunch calendar is. Another way is to go to my website www.ChristinesCatering.com, go to the Hilton Head Prep tab and click on the link there or you can go directly to the website by typing the address into your browser. The address is http://www.orderhotlunch.com/SC/HiltonHeadIsland/ChristinesCatering/. I highly recommend that when you get to the sign in page that you bookmark it for easy access.
When you arrive at the sign in page for the first time, you must create a family account. All your students go on the same account. From there you will see the school lunch calendar and will simply click on the days you would like to purchase lunch. Please note there is K-2 Lunch and 3-12 Lunch. For more information about any lunch click the ? on the calendar. From there you simply view your cart. Print your page for your records. THE CUTOFF FOR ORDERING IS MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE!
At this time we are not setup to pay online, but we should be ready to accept online payments by the first of October. Meanwhile, the check out receipt will tell you how much you owe. Please send the payment in with your child. We will continue to sell Lunch Punch Cards at this time that may be used for payment.
If you have purchased an Annual Lunch Pass, you are all set for the year and do not have to order lunch, we will have lunch for you everyday. If you would like to purchase an Annual Lunch Pass to start on September 2, send a check for $755 for 3-12 or $495 for K-2.
Our lunch program for this year will continue to highlight freshly prepared, high quality, varied meals with no trans fats. Our 18 item salad bar, homemade soups, creative entrees, five beverage choices. and small desserts provide a balanced diet within the Recommended Dietary Allowances for children 5-18 years old. We will offer no fried foods, no trans fat foods, items from whole grains whenever possible, low sodium and no high fructose corn syrup. They are allowed to pile their plates with as much as they want from the salad bar, have one full cup of soup, one hearty portion of the entrée one beverage and one dessert. Water, Tea and Lemonade have unlimited free refills. There are no ala carte sales at this time
We will continue to pursue a “green” mentality by utilizing biodegradable plates, cups, napkins, forks, knives, spoons and To Go Boxes that are considered sustainable to reduce the negative impact on the environment. We will limit the number of disposable environmental damaging quick serve and single serve packages.
